Goodwill Farms has teamed up with the College of Agriculture for another year to facilitate an internship program for final year students. This collaboration between Goodwill Farms and the College of Agriculture began in the year 2011, when two interns were taken on board to gain as much experience as they could. With the success of last year’s internship program, Goodwill Farms has been graced with the inclusion of two new interns this year.
This internship see’s final year students getting real life farm experience. They are exposed to eight weeks of training, at the end of which they would have had the opportunity to plant and reap crop and to participate in animal husbandry and farm upkeep. Our interns become a part of the Goodwill family as they learn our farming practices and techniques and are encouraged by their supervisors to actively engage in every aspect of farm work.
